This composite image demonstrates findings of a patient with Tuberous sclerosis associated bilateral retinal astrocytic hamartomas. The hamartomas are multifocal with the most prominent near the optic disk in the left eye. Note that OCT shows the intraretinal and somewhat cystic nature of these lesions, differentiating it from other lesions which are in the choroid. Autofluorescence highlights the hamartomas, and especially the more subtle ones can be more easily identified and followed using this modality.
